Funds Availability

Your Ability to Withdraw Funds
Our policy is to make funds from your deposits available to you on the first business day after the day we receive your deposit. (Except cash deposits are available that day.) Electronic direct deposits and wire transfers will be available on the day we receive the deposit. At that time, you can withdraw the funds in cash and/or use the funds to pay checks that you have written.

Please remember that even after we have made funds available to you, and you have withdrawn the funds, you are still responsible for the checks you deposit that are returned unpaid and for any other problems involving your deposit. If a deposited check is returned unpaid we will charge your account for the value of the unpaid check plus a service fee.

Availability is calculated in business days. Every day is a business day, except Saturday, Sunday, and federal holidays. In order to be considered as deposited, the deposit must be received before 3:00PM on a business day that we are open. We will consider that day to be the day of your deposit. However, if you make a deposit after this cut-off time or on a day we are not open, we will consider that deposit was made on the next business day we are open.

Longer Delays May Apply
In some cases, we will not make all of the funds that you deposit by check available to you on the first business day after the day of your deposit. Depending on the type of check that you deposit, funds may not be available until the fifth business day after the day of your deposit. The first $100.00 of your deposits, however, may be available on the first business day.

Funds deposited by check may be delayed for a longer period under the following circumstances: If we are not going to make all of the funds from your deposit available on the first business day, we will notify you at the time you make your deposit and we will tell you when the funds will be available. A delay in availability will be no longer than the ninth business day after the day of your deposit.

If you will need he funds from a deposit immediately, you should ask us when the funds will be available.

We will make reasonable efforts to collect checks accepted for deposit but reserve the right to accept or reject any check for deposit.

It is important that you endorse your checks as drawn on the back of all checks you are depositing. It is also important that you place your endorsement in the 11/2 inch area designated.

Deposits for Foreign Checks
Checks drawn on banks outside the United States are sent for collection. We will put money (less the collection fees) into your account after we receive payment for the check from the bank on which it was drawn.

Special Rules for New Accounts
If you are a new customer, the following special rules apply during the first 30 days your account is open.

Funds from electronic direct deposits to your account will be available on the day we receive the deposit. Funds from deposits of cash, wire transfers, and the first $5,000.00 of a day's total deposits or cashier's, certified, teller's, traveler's and federal, state and local government checks will be available on the first business day after the day of your deposit if the deposit meets certain conditions. For example, the checks must be payable to you. The excess over $5,000.00 will be available on the tenth business day after the deposit. If your deposit of these checks (other then U.S. Treasury check) is not made in person to one of our employees, the first $5,000.00 will not be available until the second business day after the day of your deposit.

Funds from all other check deposits will be available on the ninth day after the day of your deposit.
